Vinayaka Chaturthi Festival

Vinayaka (Ganesha) is the god of wisdom and prosperity and is invoked before the beginning of any auspicious work by the Hindus. Vinayaka Chathurthi is a festival that is celebrated at Sri Rajarajeswari Peetam for Vaali Pilliayar (Pathway Ganesha who sits out side the temple building) in the temple. The festival will start at 9:00 am, which includes Abhishekam, Homam and puja’s to lord Vinayaka.

The Hindus believe that praying to Lord Vinayaka during the festival will bring prosperity for the family and protects people from obstacles in their lives. It is a unique opportunity to witness this festival at Rajarajewari peetam.
